Mr. Makuza Jean Marie Vianney is a senior international Consultant. His experience in consultancy work spans a period of over 20 years.Mr. Makuza is the founder and CEO of Cope Consulting Ltd. The firm is based in Kigali /Rwanda and has been in operation since 2010.

Partnering with the Consortium BDO East Africa –BDO Mauritius and Juristax Mauritius,
Mr Makuza conducted a Skills Assessment and developed a Capacity Building Strategy for the establishment of the Kigali International Financial Centre (“KIFC”), in 2019.For the two previous years, between 2017-2018, Mr. Makuza worked with USAID/Preparedness & Response Project in Rwanda and Guinea.

In collaboration with Deloitte International and other institutions, Mr. Makuza successfully spearheaded various consultancy assignments in several African countries, such as Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda and Uganda, from 2005 to 2010.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Mr. Makuza Jean Marie Vianney worked with the Kigali Health Institute (an institution of Higher Learning) as the Vice Rector Academics. He had also served as a World Health organisation (WHO) Consultant in the area of Human Resources Development. In late 1980’s and early 1990’s Mr Makuza respectively worked in D.R. Congo and Burundi, mainly in the education sector.

Mr Makuza is an expert motivational speaker : he facilitated a leadership development program (Crestcom International program) for Senior Managers of Public & Private sectors in Burundi, D.R. Congo and Rwanda in 2010. Similarly, in the last 20 years, Mr. Makuza led around one hundred recruitment assignments throughout the East and Central African region. Mr. Makuza Jean Marie Vianney is a prolific writer. He is the author of the book entitled “Le secret pour réussirvotre interview d’embauche : 1 Règled’or, 10 Principes clefs et 100 questions courantes (Expériences du Burundi, RD Congo, Rwanda & Uganda)” published in 2017 by “Presses AcadémiquesFrancophones” (PAF), a German publisher.Mr. MAKUZA was the Chairman of the Rwanda Organization of Professional Management Consultants (ROPC) from 2011 to 2014. From 2014 to 2018 he was the President of Rwanda Society for Performance Improvement (RSPI), the national chapter of the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI).

Mr. MAKUZA Jean Marie Vianney holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), from ‘Maastricht School of Management’ (The Netherlands, 2004) and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Psychology from the University of Kisangani, 1988 (R.D. Congo, 1988).
